Warning bell
I have a 99 F150 that has an unknown warning bell no lights showing that goes off after I start it doors are shut seat belts on in dings 4 times stops dings another 4 time and goes off and about 15-20 minutes later does the same thing over again. And ideas? Thank you
May have to ask these guys https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum25/ But Ford added all kinds of stuff to the warning circuits. Could be parking brake, either engaged or a fault in the system. Maybe the door switches aren't adjusted properly? I'm not very familiar for your year model.
Check to see if your instrument cluster air bag light comes on for about 4-8 seconds when ignition is first turned on. If it doesn't the tone may be an audible back-up feature of the GEM module telling of a fault in the air bag system. Usually 5 sets of 5 bursts.
Check for fault codes B1869 and B1870

Reason: more info
I had a similar random warning chime on my 2001 Ranger. Turned out to be the 'door ajar' warning going off. I finally diagnosed it when I leaned over to my left trying to get something out of my jeans pocket. That's when I noticed that my extra force against the door would make the audible warning noise. Cleaned all the hinges and contact points for all four doors and never had the warning chime come on again after that.
