You will also need to wire in one of these ignition coils.

Or you could use a HEI module like this

And use your original square coil. And wire the HEI module like this article explains.

If you want to do one thing at a time, you can leave your original carb on it and get the new ignition hooked up and running, and then change the carb later.
That is the standard Durapasrk distributor you can use your existing TFI Coil with it. Now if you use a DS II module (Blue strain relief) you will have to add a ballast resistor to the coils run feed power (see below wiring diagram)
Alternatively, you can use a DS I module (red strain relife) although it is more expensive than the DS II modules you will not need the ballast resistor and can utilize the existing power feed for your TFI Coil. The DS I module will give you a true HEI system (DS II is not) with an adjustable dwell, a crank retard (for easier starts) and a power-down function if the ign, if left in run with the engine off, these are features the DS II module does not offer.
Avoid the GM module conversion the GM system uses a reluctor and pickup in the dist of a different profile than what Ford uses and you can experience erratic operation using the GM module with a Ford distributor.
