Yeah.. hard to believe it's still there. It actually performs the function of positioning the hall effect sensor, but why did they bother including that adjustment option, the whole distributor can be rotated to set the base timing anyway.

Ok is there any type od advance mechaism in ther, seams like there should be even fpr the computer to tell it to advance. My reasoning for this is maybe there is a spring or something that may be week and letting it advance to far on a hard acceleration

All advance is done in the computer -- there's not any advance built into the EFI distributors.
