difference between 82 and 87?

Hello all,
I am planning on doing an engine replacement on my 1982 ford f-100. I am planning on replacing the straight 6 300ci carbureted, I was looking at the Auto Zones sure fire re-manufactured long block DF74/75. I just tried to go back and look at it again but the page doesn't seem to exist anymore. So upon doing some more research I found the 1987 model of my engine being sold from XP performance engines the only problem is it's fuel injected. My major question is would it make sense to just buy a carb engine and not have to deal with the fuel injection? With this, if I did go with the fuel injection, what would be the price range of everything else I would need to buy as I don't have any fuel injection parts. I'm just using this truck as a daily driver and maybe every once in a while to drive. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all

Does that XP motor come with all the EFI manifolds and other EFI stuff?

Or just the bare block and head?

IF bare block and head, you can bolt up your carb intake and exhaust manifold. You might have to fiddle with the accessory drive as it might be serpentine vs v belt.

IF it includes all the manifolds, look for a carb'd engine.

Serving suggestion.

Never seen a reman engine with any accessories, brackets or anything other than a short block assembly (assembled block, crank rods pistons, etc. ) or a long block (all the short block plus the head or heads) If the head was different for an EFI, then you'd have a problem going carbed. On a V8 roller cammed motor, the camshafts are steel vs cast iron so need a steel geared distributor,
