I need to replace a 2016 F350 Platinum Dually Diesel.
Have been using Ford for several years, had no plans to change brands, so I am not up to date on GM or Dodge.
Due to unacceptable warranty repairs on the 2016 and Fords lack to resolve, I have lost confidence in Ford.
Many of you own/drive Dodge, GM & Ford. I like the 2016 F350 Platinum ride, comfort, etc., looking to find similar in Dodge or GM, which brand/model would you recommend.
Reliability, manufacture allowing dealership to repair completely and when that fails, manufactures aggressiveness to step in and ensure customer is protected are of great importance.
If you had warranty repairs do those brands repair smartly or do you have to keep returning for the same issues multiple times, if you had to return multiple times and contacted the manufacture did the manufacture provide reasonable resolution?
I will be purchasing a 2020 DRW Diesel to replace this vehicle.
In my experience, warranty repairs are very dependent on the dealership. It is not brand dependent. The worst part is the dealer is able to flag your vehicle and deny warranty at any dealer. I have a local dealer that is super good with warranty work, but there are others that will do all they can to deny warranty. I think it go down as far as the service writers.
When a dealer signs the franchise agreement the manufacture has the last word on warranty provided state and local laws have been observed, until litigation is brought up.
Vibration issue on a 2014 Silverado GM/Dealer had truck for FIVE Months, a BBB filing sped up the buy back process.
We have a fleet with all sorts of trucks. GMC, chevy, fords. Dodge.
Dodge doesn’t hold up. The interiors fall apart and they start having electrical and transmission issues. Chevys are holding up fine. We run F150s abd routinely get 200,000 with maintenance, very few repairs. Water pumps fail at 120/140k on the Coyotes 5.0s
