Are all 96-97 F250-350 PSD 4x4 e4od valve body calibrations the same?
I'm looking for a good E4OD core to rebuild for my 96 F250 7.3L PSD & will do some 4R100 parts upgrades as applicable.

Got a code P1728 slip fault. Flashing OD "off" light on shifter stalk. Hard shifts 1-2, 2-3, 3-4th.
Things done so far:
Cleaned out worn LSD metal from 10.25 Sterling & replaced VSS. Replaced VSS connector too.
Serviced trans, replaced filter & TC with 3 disk HD unit, Sonnax accumulator spring kit, line pressure kit, solenoid pack.
Fluid in trans pan smelled OK but TC fluid smelled a little burnt. Concluded TC clutch was burnt.
Its been 3500 miles since I bought it in Montana & if it were other clutch packs it would've smelled up the fluid in trans pan too.
Reset Edge Evol CS to stock & disconnected it for test drive to see if it was the Edge CS.
Same thing - set P1728 code, hard shifts & flashing "off" light. Noticed speedo needle unsteady, flicking & jumping at 65-70 mph.
Reflashed Edge CS to latest FW & calibration. Its an older 2001 model CS. Will test drive again today.
If code is set again will again reset to stock & remove Edge CS to test drive for code again.
Ordered a used PSOM on fleabay to try out next. More searching & reading:

e4od rebuild time
Drove 12 mi on fwy then returned same fwy. Felt low gear slip then reverse slip when I went to park at house. Feels like I'm losing low/reverse clutch pack.
"Off" light came on sooner than before. Edge CS showed P1728 slip fault code again.
Time to pull it again & O/H it. Only 112k miles.
