Ok. I have 1 last part to purchase. Rear bumper. Its the contoured bumper. Lmc offers 2. One says 37.5 mount holes the other says 40. Where are they measuring from. The bumper bolts on top of the bumper? Or what?
IMO I'd measured where it matters....at the rear of the frame rails where you are going to bolt the bumper on. Do you have the special...well pretty much impossible to find and purchase (due to NOT being reproduced) mount brackets for said contour bumper?

33 1/2" width between the inner frame rails behind the cab:
1965/72 F100/350 // 1973/77 F250 4WD (High Boys) // 1973/79 F350 Cab & Chassis & Regular Cabs on the 140" wheelbase.
---------- 37 1/2" width between the inner frame rails behind the cab:
1973/79 F100 2WD/4WD & F250 2WD // 1973/79 F350 except as noted above // 1975/79 F150 2WD/4WD // 1977 F250 4WD from serial number Y20,001 (not a High Boy).
It appears the 40" you speak of is for a Bronco if this is what your looking at on LMC No such thing as 40" width between the inner frame rails for any 1973/79 F100/350 & 1978/79 Bronco.

It appears that the measurement is where the bumper bolts go through the bumper and in to the mounting brackets. in the parts description, it tells you which one is for which rig.
