Question 65 f-100 stepside fenders

hi!
i'am building a 65 f100 prostreet truck!
just noticed that the rear fenders are not as
wide as the cab! has anyone used the 3"
wider fiberglass fenders! was wondering how
they would look!

I have seen the fiberglass fenders on show trucks. Looked good! I say have at it!

I have saw the 5 inch wider on a show truck the truck beside it had the 3 in wider .I liked the 5 inch wider better ! How are you doing the frame work for the big tires. are you going 4 link or ladder bars or moving the leave springs . I have did a 65 and a77 by moving the leaves inside the frame turn out real nice and work well .

i have a 53 and i split the fenders down the middle and welded in about a four inch piece of metal. alot of work but they look goood and saved myself some serious cash

Wink Plastic vs Fiber Composite = No Brainer 2 me

Looks matter for sure, but Bear in mind fiber composite materials seldom contain debris when tires disintegrate, can not withstand much impact, degenerate from exposure to UV A & B, and "spider crack" or check over time.

Steel does not have any of these shortfalls. I'd go with steel like UK1050 did, myself.

I see your point Fordboypete but after seeing the small dents and rust in my steel fenders . I think that steel or fiberglass my are going to receive a costom set of inter wheel wells . Tub the interfender
