I am still trying to sure an intermittent code for the ICPS, I have unplugged it while idling it allows the engine to rev up a little, so i beilive the ICP is working as it should, No oil in it either. It also states that it could be lower pressure under load from the hpop, would it be better to rebuild it of replace it?
The consensus seems to be that rebuilt HPOPs are a failure waiting to happen but that does make me wonder about the performance HPOPs, of which most are rebuilt from our old ones.
might just have to gather some parts, truck stumbled pretty good yesterday, never died, just dropped rpm's way down and started chugging, then idled out and ran fine, will most likely replace the fuel filter today.
The ICP code shows up on hard acceleration, getting on the freeway, would like to figure out why and stop it

The hpop is not that complicated. Failure and subsequent rebuild is mostly just seals.
‘Upgraded’ pumps use a 19* swash plate instead of stock 15/17* plate. Some rebuilders are also installing steel thread inserts for hpo lines to lower chances of failure here.
Ive been using CNC Fab pumps since they started building them and have not had a failure yet. I’ve installed at least a dozen of them including a couple Stage 1 pumps with hybrid injectors. They did great - maintaining 2800psi in hot tunes under sustained throttle. I put a CNC Fab Stage 2 hpop in my truck just before Christmas. (still running 175/0’s, but have 250/200’s waiting to go in )

Low ICP (P1211) can be hpo leak (injector o-rings), tired injectors, weak IPR or worn HPOP.
You can rule out injector o-rings by isolating heads and testing pressure.

I have had my T500 for over 80K miles now, no issues at all. It's a mild performance rebuild.
My truck stumbled twice yesterday, this morning I could not get it run for more then a few minutes, half an hour later after disconnecting the Icp( to no avail) pulled the fuel filter to find plenty of fuel , was able to nurse it around the block, plugged the icp back in and fired it up just let it idle for a bit ! Seemed to be running fine so I took off to work, seems to be fine now ? Wondering if the pickup in the tank broke off and picked up some crap ?
Have you checked the Tinnerman nut on the IPR? Make sure that nut is on there and snug.
first thing I checked well icp then the ipr fuel filter looks pretty nasty , maybe got some bad fuel going to change that out and do a test run I can feel it seems like it is not getting enough fuel maybe the fuel pump ? It worse lol I will do a buzz test to see if I have dropped an injector
Idea's just jumped the tracks upstairs with the lead in. Let's simplify this a bit.
Willing to bet you broke your foot. Don't be afraid of black or dark grey filters. (it ain't new). My filters always raised my eyebrows from 70 k miles and on to 250 something, no performance change. Ever date an older woman and expect her possibles to be white? Press up the tank and see what you see.
Do eyeball everything above, I do believe you either drank some bad **** or broke your foot walking it off. Symptoms are way familiar!
ok lets back up a little as stated keep it simple,
half a tank of fuel
oil is good
no codes are stored except the engine back pressure sensor
i have not done the tank mod( may need to do something there, BUT After changing the fuel filter and a couple of beers it dawned on me!
Last thing i did to the truck was on sunday ( everything ran fine before) I took the the tube out for the engine back pressure sensor, i was about with some determined effort to clear it out!
But i do not believe the sensor is working, would or could this now be causing the issue? I have a new sensor coming, but napa did not have a motorcraft unit!
PS i was told also to look at my CPS if its black might want to change it?
You can diagnose fuel supply issue with a fuel pressure gauge. The easiest way to do this is attach some 5/16” hose and any cheap 100psi pressure gauge (air.water. etc is fine) to the fuel filter water drain valve. Run hose up to windshield or drivers side mirror so you can observe while driving.

I was actually going to do that, except my drain valve is not working LOL , i love my old truck but do not like working on it all the time! WIfe tells me she is tired of smelling diesel everytime she goes to the garage, i told her to quit coming out there then, Been sleeping on the couch for the last week!
