What did you use to insulate the fuel lines?

I used some HVAC line foam padding and then wrapped it with foil tape. Used the foil tape to cover the fuel pump too. I also routed the fuel inlet line as far away from the motor and headers as possible.

I have searched and came up empty.
Brother, you and I are in the same boat. I'm willing to bet, if you have Google'd the Motorcraft 4350 carburetor phenolic spacer, you will see a picture of mine as I searched far and wide for a replacement. My dad, unfortunately, broke the corner off of his years ago. When I got his truck back on the road a few years ago, all I could do at the time was install an EGR plate that they put on some cars with 460's to replace it. My gas was boiling quicker than it would go down the carb and in the summer the truck would just run awful. I ended up buying a Holley a year later. I now use a Trans-Dapt aluminum spacer and just run the really thick gasket between that and the carb. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/t...RoCCEMQAvD_BwE I still have some issues with the heat. I also later bought a 1 inch phenolic spacer to go between the adapter and the carb, but it sat way too high and the kickdown linkage would no longer hook up. So for now, I just use the aluminum adapter. My plan is to eventually go to an aluminum intake with the standard 4 hole setup. Then I'll be able to put the 1 inch phenolic spacer back on and that should help a lot better with the heat dissapation.

I have no real desire to change intakes. Its been suggested to get a block of phenolic and make my own. My "wood working" skills aren't that good. I did order the Mr. Gasket 97 and will try that. We shall see how it works. Weather permitting, should know something in the couple of weeks.
Thanks everyone.

Yes sir, understand that. I plan on eventually doing headers and a new intake just to see what this 460 will do. I wouldn't attempt to make a 3d printout of a spacer unless you can get the actual phenolic material. The average plastic that those machines use would melt in a heartbeat on top of that 460. Wood could certainly be an option but I'm in the same boat as well, my skills with woodworking are not that great. Good luck and let us know how the gasket works.

Update. Put the Mr. Gasket 97 heat dissipator will waiting for it to warm up gas started coming out of the fuel vent. Shut the truck off and checked the float level (its a Holley) which was way high. After some adjusting got the float level to about where it should be. Started back up, no fuel out the vent and no change in float level. Let the truck warm up then shut it down and while stand there with a cup of coffee I seen air bubbles come up the fuel line into the fuel filter. So I'm thinking I've either got a loose clamp or a cracked line. I also remembered my problem didn't start until after I'd installed my midship tank and got it all working. So I think I've narrowed where to look down. I have not tried to switch to the aft tank, just now thought of that.

The fuel pump draws heat from the engine. If wrapped, that heat will transfer directly to the fuel line/fuel

In addition to heat soak/evaporation, you can also experience fuel blend separation from modern gasoline.

Just some thoughts.
