From what we know so far - the Bronco is pretty true to the original, and should make most Bronco enthusiasts happy.
The Bronco Sport is true to the lineage of the first generation Ford Escape. We'll see how excited the American public is about that. Not that there isn't market space for a "new Escape" - there is because the current Escape is barely an SUV.
Realizing I'm in the minority here but this thing looks like crap, leave it to Ford to screw up a retro re-make of an iconic vehicle. I've been waiting on the reintroduction but now I'm going to find an original to restore. Dodge would've gotten this thing right if it was theirs. Ford destroyed the Mustang and now this?

How did Ford destroy the Mustang? It canʻt remain a 1967 and neither can the Bronco. The current F Series are well done and leading in innovations.
Ford is looking at going back in time with the rear suspension on F150s- Coil springs and track bars. Maybe the Bronco will get these too.
The Mustang aftermarket is huge and it is said that Ford is planning to do the same for the Bronco. I prefer the ride of new trucks, even my 1996 Bronco feels old because the chassis was designed in the late 1970s.
TO EACH HIS OWN, I plan to buy a New Bronco anyway.
