Other than dropping the fuel tank shroud and trying to drain the DEF tank is there any other way to remove it? Since it's still going to be a couple of weeks before I can get my truck into the dealer I thought I would decide to change the def fluid and see if the issue goes away. I'm not confident it would make any difference but willing to try.
Are there any tips and tricks to get that to pump out the def. I tried a few weeks ago using one of those but there didn't seem to be any suction so nothing came out. Thanks

You have to cut the tip of the hose kind of like a hypodermic needle about 1.5 inch , there is a flap in there that will prevent it from going in all the way .
I couldn't get the hose from that pump in the def tank as there is a valve or ball blocking it. I used some plasting tubing from a refrigerator ice maker to get into the tank. The drain process was a little slow but it worked. That pump hose is too big in diameter to get past that valve.
