Hi Bill,
Looks like we need to do a timing chain on this truck as the chain jumped a notch. I am looking for part numbers for a timing chain, timing chain cover gasket, front crankshaft seal.
In an ideal world, it would be great to find the part numbers for the gears: crank and cam gear, and the crankshaft sleeve (if it had one).
If there are any cross compatibilities with this 534 and other Ford engines that might help also.
Any part number help you could give me would be appreciated.
Thank You

Thanks for all the help here Bill--again. Bob at Carpenter is not working during the COVID crisis but they promise me that as soon as he comes back to work in 3-4 weeks, he will call me about the Cam gear. I did get the crank gear on eBay and the gaskets from Green Sales. They were awesome. Thanks again!
Hi Bill,
I need help with a few more parts please:
Can you direct me to what I should search for to find a replacement stock carb for this truck? When I search for carbs for the 534 I get different year ranges and I want to find the correct one for 1964.
Also can you provide me the part number of the ignition switch and ignition switch lock cylinder?
Thank You!

Your carb should be a C3TE-9510-D. It is set up for a mechanical governor - later versions used an electrical type which was a different P/N.
It can be rebuilt; you can use a current production kit (Holley 37-485, $45) for a Holley 4150, and reuse all the hard parts that made it unique for the 534 engine. If someone has one on the shelf ready to go, beware if it has been sitting for years and the soft parts are no longer safe and reliable. You could replace it with a new Holley O-1850S, but it would not be calibrated and jetted specifically for a 534, and you would lose the governor function. The Holley factory store currently has some factory refurbished ones for $200. One secret to keeping the 534 working hard and lasting for the full 100,000 mile warranty was that the Ford/Holley engineers made sure it never ran lean under load, so the carbs were tuned to burn fuel by the barrel when working hard. At one time there were different calibrations depending on whether the truck had oil bath or dry paper air filters, so I'm guessing they really did spend a lot of time to get it right...
I would guess that '61-'66 F-series ignition switches/cylinders/locks are the same on the C-series.
We haven't heard from Bill/ND in a while, I hope he will chime in soon!
Cheers

Thanks! Does it have to be exactly the C3TE-9510-E of would C3TE-9510-X (where final letter suffix is different also work?) if not, what are the years they used the C3TE-9510-E to see about cross reference finding one?
