Blend door actuator failure?

Blend door actuator failure?
Took the new to me 17 f350 to Boise and back for the Idaho sportsman show today. Didn't notice if the HVAC was blowing on the way there, but the temp dropped some on the way home and we found there was no (or very little) warm air coming from the vents. Dash, floor, or defrost. We could hear the blower increase in speed, but no increase in air coming out the vents. Tried the AC as well and got the same result. Will have to wait until Monday to take it into the dealership. Are the blend door actuators problematic on these trucks? Anything else it could be? Otherwise it was a great, comfy 250+ mile day trip.

Could you hear the fan increasing in speed? Mine has been to the dealer once because the fan would randomly quit. They could not replicate. Found out if I opened the under hood fuse box and tapped the fan relay or removed and replaced relay it would come back on. Replacing the relay didn’t solve it either.

Wife took the truck into town this morning and go figure, the heater is working... Still going to take it into the dealership tomorrow. Maybe once the actuator gets warm it quits?

Got the truck back today. They were eventually able to replicate the problem. Took a day to figure out what was wrong. Turns out the AC pump was not turning off, and eventually iced up something, causing the issue.
