Landscaping//plow truck with dump insert
2008 5.4, 4x4 with 80,000 miles
All new front end, all bilstein 5100 shocks with steering stabilizer and air bags in back set to 60. It rides like a tank which is fine.
Getting a bit of a wondering in the steering and lose feeling and my only thought would be the steering gear. The truck is used to plow and landscaping so it does it’s share of work.
I read a little about the red head racks. Any reviews on them or any other options.
Anything else I should change out when I’m in there changing the rack. ? Hoses ? Lines ?
Nothing extra to change, unless the lines are leaking.I went ahead and purchased a blue top for my 08'.Guess he used to work for the red top guys and opened up his own shop. Was a bit cheaper as well. One thing to note that the 08' has two totally different steering boxes based on you're build date.

Very much so, was honestly a bit too hard. I called them and was told it would feel better after a week or two. Its absolutely perfect now, been like a year.
Unless Im missing something. There is a more expensive read head for $750 but they say only if you have a larger wheels and or lift you can go with the cheaper one
