Performance Tune question

That depends......how is your will power? lol I ran my 08 in the performance setting.....but found i could not resist the temptation to floor it when some kid in a rice rocket tried to pull out and pass in the right side merge lane. It is however quite satisfying to look in the rear view and see them waaay back there though lol. Ive since set mine to the stock power level....and truck is still surprisingly quick even in that setting.

It depends on what your definition of 'safe' is. Any extra stress on engine components, outside of what the vehicle was engineered to have, will decrease the usable operating life of the component. Will it 'blow' your engine within the next 20,000 miles? Who knows, but it's doubtful.
If you ask the company that produced the tune they won't tell you how it affects the components because they don't know, as they probably don't have the engineering capabilities to come up with these numbers.
