Ok so I figured out the problem. I am a dumb a$$!!!
I looked up firing order on the interweb and saved the picture I found showing the firing order of a ford 351/400 which was wrong. I did another search of the interweb and found the correct firing order and shazam! It runs (idles and revs) fine now! Man 3 days of banging my head and it was in the wrong firing order the whole time!!!
I appreciate y'all trying to help, if not I may have just cut the fuel line and dropped a match! Lol!

Never trust the internet!

I wrote the firing order on the underside of my hood. It's real classy-like.

Glad you got it fixed. That firing order was what I was thinking off the bat.

From my google searching, that firing order you initially used is the Ford 5.0 firing order. Not to be confused with the older 302's. They may have used it on other engines, but that was the one that consistently showed up when I searched.

The early 302 and later at least some, if not all Speed Density EFI 5.0's used the early 15426378 order.
The later 5.0HO engines and all the 351W/5.8 and 351M/400 use the 13726548 order.

For those that don't know, just look at the 2-3 and 6-7 positions in the two sequences. Cylinder number pairs 5 and 4 and 3 and 7 are simply flip-flopped/swapped to allow the same crankshafts to be used, but with the different cam design creating the different firing order.
Even though this last bit won't effect anyone with a 351M or 400, it's exactly why anyone who's starting from scratch with a 302 or 351Windsor would be smart to verify which cam was used. Or at least manually check the firing order since the camshafts themselves are interchangeable between the engines.
