still working on swapping out my 400 for a 4bt cummins, running into some problems and looking for some advice, the truck has power brakes so im not sure what to do to make it functional with the new engine, also im not sure what to do with the power steering. If anyone has any advice or general experience with swap like this please message me, all info will be greatly appreciated.
Does the 4bt not have a hydraulic pump on it? You will need to replace your vacuum power booster with a hydroboost set up. If you search the forum there will be many examples. Probably a lot of Cummins swap examples as well.
Stroke the 400 out to 434 ci, add some good heads and put it back where it belongs. Brakes and power steering brackets should line right up for you then.
Bonus? 50 more years of reliable operation while embarrassing the "gotta have a diesel/coyote/LS" swap folks with 50 year old technology.

Pull it with a horse and avoid all that stupid technology!

Keep looking around through build threads you'll find several options. You could add a vac pump or convert to hydroboost. If you can't seem to find what suites you I want to say oilburners and pirate 4x4 have engine swap forums as well. A little reading can save a lot of headache

You will need the Dodge power steering and vacuum pump to make this swap work. I take it this was an industrial 4BT? What's currently installed in the power steering gear drive or is it just covered with a blank?
