DiamondBack internal height measurement pls

Hi all, I have looked all over for this, if any users have a DiamondBack HD or similar model, I'm trying to see how many inches between the truck bed to the bottom of the cover, what's the usable space? I'm assuming it's up to the side rails minus an inch or two but I need an accurate measurement please. Thanks if anyone can help, I have a 2019 short bed Lariat 4x4. Jason.

You will have about 21.5 inches from the raised ridge on the truck bed to the support beam under the cover.

Even though you have "X" amount of space, you can fit some items between the beams if needed. The photo above is from my 19 but the photo below is the HD cover on my 02. If you notice, I have a welding helmet sitting in my tool box that fits between the two support beams when closed.

Thanks very much, that’s exactly what I wanted to know, that’s plenty for what I need. I was just days away from putting the deposit on a Leer with the Leer Locker when I saw a SD with the DiamondBack HD. I have never seen one in Ontario before so I called my dealer to change plans, cancel the Leer and find an HD, the folks at DiamondBack have been fantastic. I also found out the internal dimensions for the Leer Locker were 4” too short to hold all my salmon rods broken down, that was the only reason I was going back to a full topper so this was perfect timing.

Is that an insert tray where your helmet is? I was hoping they could make one without the two dividers I see online but I don't think they can, too bad as a my hunting guns would fit nicely in there. I may try to get a customized bin made.

I loved the diamondback HD i had on my old truck. Had that setup for 5 years when i traded it in, worked flawlessly no problems. Ill definitely be picking up one for the new truck soon, 100% worth it.

I just measured the clearance on my truck with the sprayed in bed liner and the HD Diamondback. When closed, on the side where the locking bar goes under the bed rail, there is 19.5" of clearance. The locking bars slope upwards towards the middle where they connect to the underside of the locking mechanism. Here, there is 21.5" of clearance. I hope this helps.
