Hello all, i hope i'm not beating a died horse with this one, i've owned a 6.0 in the past and found delete tunes for the SCT everywhere, well i just got a 2006 F250 6.0 thats been studded/deleted but no tunes. It has the classic EGR flow code, so figured easy peasy, but i can't find one place that sales SCT delete tunes for the EGR, i mean i know i can just keep driving it with no issues, would just like the code to go away.
Is there anyone out there that still does this, or has the epa gotten to them all?
SCT has shut down anything that bypasses emissions. If you update an old tuner the updates will remove any option. You will have to find someone off the beaten path or find a old SCT tuner off Ebay that is unlocked.
That horse was captured by the EPA, executed, then cremated. In our "free" country it is now very challenging to find delete type tunes even for a race truck on a trailer without plates. Folks are worried about loosing their businesses and the least risk approach is to not touch non-compliant vehicles. Good Luck, Russ
