I lost my driveshaft which took a handfull of teeth off my ring gear. 92 f350, 7.3, dually, 4x4, ZF cab/chassis. I have a complete axle from a 94 srw f350 4x4 also 4.10. The spring perches are wider and I can fix that. The srw axle is 57" wide between the backing plate flanges (square). My cab chassis axle is 55.5" between those flanges. My CC has 3.5" brakes (almost new with drums) and the donor axle has 3". My dually wheels bottom out on the lip of the 3" drums and don't reach the wms. Will my hubs fit on this srw axle? I see sellers on ebay list different hubs for a dually than a srw. Perhaps the flange is in a different location for the wider drums? It's hard for me to get to where my dually is and very hard to work under it on 4"-6" crushed rock. I'd like to prep this srw axle for a swap, but not able to pull the old hubs at this time. It still needs to roll for a while. Seems on the srw axle the hubs are protruding further out? Currently the srw axle has 65.5" between the wms. I would love to end up with that or a bit less on my dually. Thanks in advance GB

I found that the ford part number is the same for dual wheel hubs as single rear wheel hub. The difference is in the offset of the backing plates, the fact that the dually has 3.5 brakes as opposed to the srw's 3" brakes and the placement of the backing plate flange on the axle tube. Wish me luck as I try to mate up srw and drw parts on a c&c srw 4wd rear axle. (sterling 10.25)...... Oh and id I mention the 4wd cab&chassis stock steel wheels have an inch more offset than the 2ws cab/chassis.? I have a mix on this rig..... WTF?
Hello GB,
I purchased an all original 34,000 kilometer 1990 Ford F350 4x4 Cab & Chassis truck last summer with 460 EFI, ZF 5-speed, Dana 60 front diff & Sterling 10.25 rear diff with 4.10:1 gears.
I've removed the aluminum tool cabinet box and am installing a factory dually box with modifications to fit the narrower 34" cab-chassis frame.
I was unaware that the cab-chassis 4x4 steel wheels had more offset than the 2wd cab-chassis steel wheels???
Can you provide any photos of these two different wheels for comparison?
Thank you, Pete

I'm trying to do the same thing. What did you find out? Did it work GB?
