Bed difference between '99-03 & '08-up
I've just fitted a later model tailgate to my '00 super duty, I have the BakFlip G2 tonneau, the tonneau doesn't sit quite right now, I've spoken to BakFlip about it as they list a different part no for later trucks. I asked if the later part would fit, but they said no, the dimensions are different.
I thought that the beds were identical & just the tailgate that's different, could anyone offer any knowledge or advice on any difference please. I don't mind buying a new tonneau but I need to know that it will fit before I spend that kind of money.

That's kinda what I was thinking & that would be about what the difference is, I had to loosen the clamps & slide the tonneau forward 1/4" just to give some clearance for the tailgate to close, but the rear seal is still too tight to the tailgate, making it difficult to latch the last section.

I just bought a cap for my 01’. My understanding was anything 08’ and above wouldn’t fit because of bed size, but if it’s just the tailgate, it shouldn’t matter for a cap unless the cab angle changes.
