Can anyone tell me where the ambient temperature sensor (2016 f150, xlt)is located? My truck was wrecked in the front and I have repaired and don’t see any connectors available in front of radiator where I have seen on some sites that is where it is located. Looks like on newer models it is in the right (passenger side) rear view mirror. I took the top cover off both of mine and don’t see it. It’s showing a code on the scanner that says not connected. I would appreciate any help you could offer.

 

Everyone I've ever seem is right under the hood latch, usually plugged into a radiator support, a little backset from the grill.

 

 

I need to change the AAT sensor in my 2017 F150. How do you access the sensor?

 

I found the sensor - it is at the bottom center of the grill, I disconnected it / reconnected it and Voila! The temp was reading right and check engine light went off. The sensor is Motorcraft part # DY-1160 for about $8 on Amazon.
