i think (but am not sure) that if you install fog lights into a truck that didn’t come with them, and you wire them to the oem headlight/foglight switch, you might have to use Forscan to make the switch recognize that foglights.
but that doesn’t apply to anything you wire right to the aux switches
you can always test stuff before you actually install it by just putting the stuff on the cab floor and hooking it up temporarily to an aux switch just so that you know it will work before going through the entire installation
