I have an 86 302 EFI truck engine and im runnin bbk headers shortys and glass packs and no cats and 2 1/2 stop under the cab straight glass packs, it sounds good and all, but im getting hesatation in the throttle, is that from lack of back pressure ?? and It is true dual
Are you trying to say it feels a little soft as compared to when you had stock exhaust when accelerating? Then your fine. If not then you have other problems. Later
no, what i mean is that it is like a lean spot in the engine when i cruz at any rpm it fluxuates the tack dosent move enogh to see it but u can feel the hesatation, sort of like a skip, think im gettin to much flow, and the computer is not agreeing with the exhaust ?
It may be your O2 sensor is having a hard time getting a reading now because of the free flowing exhaust, with the cats in the exhaust was slowed jus enough for the O2 to work, a new one may help you out.
you could use an h-pipe to try and gain some of the backpressure back without restricting the flow as much as the cats. It's probably just a bad o2 sensor though, try mounting it closer to the engine.
