I had a VERY bad experience with Cody at Outlaw LEDs, as well as many others. Took 8 weeks to get used emblems with dirt in the paint and several runs. Also as soon as I opened the box all I could smell was wet krylon paint.. He agreed to fix them which after 5 weeks with nothing I contacted my credit card company to dispute charges. Day after Cody sends me this after no messages for weeks.
He proceeded to block me on all platforms. I did end up getting my money back but after months of back and forth. Also search any Facebook pages for him, you’ll see tons of horror stories.

I loved the work I saw on his Site but had not "heard" or "Read" any of this - thanks for enlightening me!!! I will NOT suggest him any more after seeing your text chain - that's bull***** for sure! I'd be pi$$ed, I know that! I was looking at him for a grille... eghhh NOPE!
Hey guys.
Anyone buy painted emblems? Trying to find a reliable place to buy from. Purchased a set on ebay but the seller didn't use any packing at all. Just stuffed two pieces of paper and the garbage from his bubble packaging. Not gonna put the seller on here because I would like to give him a chance to fix it. Emblems just rubbed against each other and scratched the crap out of each other. The packaging haha
Wouldn't one think anyone who takes that much care and quality in his packaging it follows they do the same quality in their work. He confirmed it by letting you know "he does it all the time". Wonder how his prep, care and quality of materials is. Second chance ? He already showed you who he is.
Had mine done by Retro Customz. Very high quality work and fast turn-around.
Two of the pins on the front oval snapped off on the way to them and he offered to fix them for me but I opted to replace all of them when I got the ovals back. Cut off the pins level with the base and drilled and tapped the plastic for 4mm studs. JB weld did the rest. They could be about 1/4" shorter than shown if this happens to you. Hopefully this is more secure than the plastic pins.
Nice work. Did you use stainless ? I would be afraid to use "nylocks" because they come off hard the whole way, whereas a split lock washer holds no tension once cracked loose. It's nice to see someone not afraid to make it better.

I can honestly say his stuff looks WAY better in photos than person lol. His website and instagram pages are a lot of repeat pictures he’s used in the past. I couldn’t believe how he handled everything, and how horrible his quality of work was. It literally smelt like wet krylon paint and everything was still tacky when I opened the box...
There’s been a few people taken by him on headlight builds. Charges thousands and he doesn’t properly separate housings, he cuts them apart and glue/silicones them back together. They’re almost guaranteed to leak at that point.
For custom painted stuff, I highly recommend Retro Customz. BFN Truck Shop also does really good color match.
For headlight builds I know DC Customs does some top notch work. He properly separates housings, removes all the old butyl out of the channels and relays new butyl. Retro Customz also does really good headlight builds. I know there are several others but I can’t think of them off hand.

Thanks! All stainless. I thought the nylocks would be semi permanent and allowed me to use big fender washers to mount.
