I had a couple recalls done today, one being the LED DRL "fix". At first I was surprised to see the DEF% screen, and numbers over the gauges still, but I soon realized that was because it only changed my BCM settings (I think). I want to re-enable the other features I had, but when I open FORScan on my windows based laptop, it will close after a relatively short period of time. I've tried several times with the same results. No error or message of any kind. I do see that a newer version is available but I dont know how to update it.
Make sure you try a cold (hard restart). Complete power off or removal of the battery etc... When you restart your system do not launch any programs except for FORScan.

Thank you for the reply. Im not familiar with a cold(hard restart). I did download the newest version, but its still closing after 1-2 minutes.
Shut down your system (laptop). Wait 10 minutes and then restart. Do not open any programs other than FORScan after the restart and see what happens.

Well, I tried that, it was off for over an hour, when I opened the program it closed after just a few seconds. Opened it again, and again it closed after a minute or two.

I'm not a Windows expert, but I'm betting there's some kind of cache issue. My experience is that often a complete deinstall and then reinstall clears up issues on most platforms. That might be the answer if you don't have other programs also crashing. Maybe someone will chime in here that's a Windows expert.
I can highly recommend the FORScan thread here. Just maybe you can get a quick answer as that thread has over 7 million views and is very active.
