With the exception of the Mustang II........... I had a "Distributive Education" class in high school in which we made a commercial for that POS........ As far as I know, the Corvette is the only car that has never had a lapse in manufacturing since its conception. .
The 1983 Corvette slowly raises it's hand.....
EDIT....so jcbingcougar posted from the time I hit reply, then double checked myself, and finally answered.

I stand corrected. FWIW the only Corvette I would own is a 1959. Just sumpthin about that model year. Never was a fan of the Sting Ray or the split rear window. Kinda like a sunroof.......
After destroying the good name of the Mustang, which had a long and prestigious record, heads better roll. I was a hardcore blue oval guy for a long time...but now I look at where ford has gone and feel disappointment!
Destroyed? Please, do tell. Because of the electric POS coming down the pike? I doubt highly anyone pulling up next to a GT500 at a stoplight will roll their eyes and think “My Hyundai has this. That junkbox with an electric offspring doesn’t stand a chance”. Now, I do agree, a 2.3L in a Mustang is just stupid. Someone should be banished to Mars.
Well, thank you all for 10 posts about Corvette continuation, the Ford Motor Company management team, the Mustang brand, and small displacement turbo motors, etc. etc.
Looks like I'll have to find out Ford F150 diesel information somewhere other than a Ford 150 forum.
@ford390gashog in post #3 had an order for a fleet of these trucks and his order was canceled with no explanation. He would have the best pulse on the situation of folks here.
I'll be at a dealer this Saturday for warranty work and will ask if they have any insight. Will let you know if any info is available.
I wonder if all of the recent diesel emissions scandals have something to do with it. Perhaps there was an issue with the emissions equipment or calibration, and they are preemptively holding production until they get things sorted out to avoid future legal liability? The 2019 Ram 1500 had late availability with the EcoDiesel, which I presume was for the same reasons after they took a bath on the emissions settlement.
A bit off topic, but I have to chuckle at the hate slung at the new electric Mustang. People said similar about the Tesla Model S when introduced in 2013, and most are singing a different tune now. My primary car is electric, and it would completely leave my 2011 Mustang GT in the dust at pretty much any speed under 75 mph. Hands down the best car ever owned, it's amazing what can happen when you think completely outside the box. I think Ford is on the right track with the new Mach E.
As for those who throw stones at naming the all-electric Mustang "MachE", it's worth noting the name was first suggested by the same car enthusiast who brought us the 'new' Boss 302, had a (large) hand in the new Ford GT, and is the father of the Raptor.. newly minted Ford COO Jim Farley.
Kind of makes me think it is a U.S. EPA issue. Perhaps these diesels are having trouble making the air cleaner than what comes into the intake.
Pretty sure it is an EPA issue. Jeep introduced the diesel Wrangler in November and many people placed orders for one. Four months later and not one diesel Wrangler has hit the dealers...lots of upset people on the Wrangler forums still waiting for the Jeep they ordered. So not just Ford. Just the EPA making sure everyone knows it is the bureaucrats who are in power.

Yes and there is confirmation of them being delivered in Canada. I am going with this is EPA related and I suspect after the Ram ecodiesel disappeared for a couple years Ford is heading the same way. There is plenty of nuisance lawyers looking to file diesel cheat lawsuits with nothing more than suspicion.

So, GM’s little diesel will disappear soon, too? I can’t believe after Ford JUST went through this threat with the 6.7L - what, a year or two ago? - they’d be complacent with the 3.0L prior to release. Does not compute.

We’re all just speculating here.
But a potential issue or error with the 3.0L power stroke would have no bearing on the GM engine. I don’t see why the diesel offerings from them or Ram will be affected by anything like this.
