IMO, less is more.
I used Weathertech products, and their splash guards do the job without sticking out with shiny logos or trinkets attached.
Mount in minutes and most importantly, blend right in.
Ok so I am thinking that I want to install mud flaps on my truck but worried about it looking like a grandpa truck, Can I see some pics of trucks with mudflaps and what brands are best?
WeatherTech No-Drill Mud Guards. Perfect fit, no hassle install.
Originally I was planning on Gatorbacks, but at near $600 for the full set, I hesitated. Decided to go with Duraflaps instead at half the cost (but still fairly expensive at $300.)
I didn't have front flaps on my previous truck. It didn't throw a huge amount of stuff on the side of the truck, so I didn't worry about it. But on the F450, no front flaps was really bad for throwing crap on the sides and dually hips. Then I installed the included factory front flaps, which were marginally better. So I went with Duraflap's extended width fronts, and it has helped a lot.
Yup, it’s an L, my grandpa bike! It’s an 01 that I bought new. Planning on having a big party next year for our 20th anniversary!
Nice. Have an '06 XR650L. Gobs of torque, but it is quite a different beast from my CRF450X. The L's have a huge following, and can be a handful offroad, if not paying attention.
Had mine on the USFS trails near Cloudcroft to doing cross country offroad runs across Missouri. In Texas, its mainly used as a dual sport just for grins.
I went with the Ford stock ones, to be part of the build. Nothing like kicking up rocks and busting windshields. I actually think it adds to the truck, and offers a bit of protection.
I put Gator Backs on my current truck and I love them, they were a pain to install but do a pretty good job of stopping debris and look good to boot. I went with the plain black ones without the stainless weight. I've used the OEM molded flaps in the past and they install really easy and look good but they were never long enough to stop much.
I also like white letter tires so maybe I'm a grandpa at heart
