This started a while back. Someone would call me and I could answer and hear them, but they couldn't hear me at all. Voice Command can't hear me either. Tried 2 differents phones, unpair/re-pair, master reset, pulled the SYNC fuse out, ran truck for 5 minutes, fuse back in, and replaced microphone with a genuine Ford part. Went to the Ford Chat support, lady checked my system's update number & said I didn't have the latest version of software, and should go to owners.ford and download it to a thumb drive. Went to that site and it said no update available, even though she had told me I didn't have the latest one?
Anyone have this issue and know the fix?
She told me that I have version 4.4 and that there was a newer one, but she didn't give me the number of it. I did sign up for the site, but when I put in my truck it said "no updates available" so IDK. On my phone now so will have to check link on desktop later..👍
Ok, You didn't say what year your truck was. I assumed it was 2013-2016. I see you have a 2012. That has the "brick radio/nav". Go back to owner site and look around for Sync and updating it.

Yeah it's a 12. I will go back and mess with it. May just have dealer look at it sometime...
OK, Sync is a software product. Software doesn't change or become intermittent. If your Sync voice won't work and you didn't do any updates to Sync before it failed then Sync won't be your problem. You have other issues. It could be the Sync stereo system itself. Most likely is. A sync update if there is one available won't cure your problems if it's a hardware issue.
