Hey folks, looking for some ideas on what my problem could be and what I should look for, being new to diesels I figured I'd ask the ones with experience. I went to start my 03 f250 fired up ran for a few seconds then died. Restarted it and it ran fine. Has happened twice now, both times after truck sits for awhile ie overnight or through workday. Thinking may be a ficm issue since it's been dipping as low as 46v (hasn't broken 45v yet). Also will be changing fuel filters when I change oil next in about two weeks. Anything else I should be looking for? Thanks!
None of them do. The 6.0 does not have a senser for fuel pressure. You have to tap in on your fuel filter housing and put a gauge in manually or rent a pressure gauge from auto parts store.
When you monitored your FICM voltage, was the truck STONE cold?
Depends on your definition of stone cold lol. Only gets to low to mid thirties at night. Never had problem before. But it did happen in the afternoon once when it was above 50
