I was looking and realized ivI' been a member here for 11 years now. My first marriage only lasted 2. No telling how many postings. Hours spent reading. Learning . Being helped through personal tragedies. I've had members (muckster) from here drive hours to show up at my house and check up and visit with me after one of my back surgeries. Had guys spend time on the phone talking about there experience with surgery. Met great people from all over this great country . I'm not sure if with the age of the 7.3l . The cost of maintenance . Labor involved . Maybe The 7.3 has a demographic .and we get along . Idk .
i bought my first new truck almost a year ago when my Ford was stolen. Along with my old felt cowboy hat. RIP. Still hurt about that !
But I joined a forum to learn about the truck. Read and learned a lot . I start posting trying to maybe pay forward some of the help I received from here.
6 months later I've deleted my account there.
Not nearly the extended family like here.
I still like the new truck. It's not perfect . But a solid vehicle I hope will be my last. Maybe if I could swap in my 7.3l and straight axle from my f250 it would be close to perfect . Lol .
But through your example the ladies and gentlemen here have taught me how to be a good respectful forum member .
Each and every one of your friendships is greatly appreciated !
My old 7.3l is still with me today . It's been setting in the driveway. I'll drive it to work a day or so each week. I need to change the CPS . Again .
And I noticed a coolant leak . I think from the water pump. Guess a gasket shrunk from not being driven.and started a leak.
Haven't been able to bring myself to sell her yet.
But it's about time to pass her on . Let someone else love and enjoy it hopefully as much as I have .
Forgive the sappy post.
Our site and members may not be perfect . I'm not.
But this is a great community of people !
It certainly is. It's one of the reasons why I haven't sold my truck and moved on. Just because you don't have a 7.3 any more doesn't mean you can't still come on here though. Good luck with the sale.
One day I'll decide I need to sell her . Then the next I can't do it . Lol.
Can't seem to put it online. Maybe soneoso will come along with some cash one day and I'll let it go. Idk.
Its one of the only trucks I've owned that has exactly everything I was looking for.

^what he said. Couldn’t have said it better myself. 🍺
This is a great place to be and unlike any other forum I have found. As said above, if you sell your truck you will still have a seat at the table anytime you want to chat or provide some advice or pass along an experience. Perhaps the new owner of your truck will become a member (if not already) and they can be a part of the FTE community.
Stick around, we like having you and many others like you here.
Best forum I ever found. Cannot say why but this place draws in good people. Maybe just because good people like/need/want good trucks? And Ford put a 7.3 in a SuperDuty/Ex?
Y'all are awesome! Keep on truckin' and helping the Brotherhood!
This was one of the first forums I joined. All the things I was researching about my SD lead me here. I sold my 7.3 years ago, moved onto other diesels, moved from them also and now have a 51 year old chebbie that will pull another 48 year old chebbie when it is ready. Though they're not Ford's, I know just about everyone here would appreciate them if they saw them. Yet after the years since I've sold my truck I'm still here. I have forgotten a lot but pass on what I still know when the opportunity presents itself. In my area I seem to be the go to 7.3 guy still for some reason and it's because of you guys here. For that, thank you.
This forum is one of the reasons I have not sold my truck. I used to be much more active, but I lurk a lot more now. I feel a bond and am drawn here because of how tight knit we are.
No telling how much help Ive gotten from reading through post here. Saved a ton of money being able to learn how to work on the truck myself with you guys help.
its nice to pop in and see guys names I have recognized for years still posting and helping out newer guys .
Always friendly and knowledgeable advise here.
