A farewell and a tribute to this forum

Well folks, i am moving on after eight years on this forum. A fellow made me an offer on an 08 that I just couldn't refuse. After 8 years of avoiding a dooley I now have one. Reckon how long the fenders will last? I would be remiss to go without thanking the many members here who have helped me learn about the 7.3L. Many have helped knowingly and many others have helped unknowingly as I researched the occasional problem or mod. The amount of information and technical knowledge on here is amazing, even more amazing is the eagerness with which the members will respond to a question and share their knowledge. For sure the 08 is a nice truck and it drove and towed fantastic, almost too nicely, like driving your living room. But I will never forget the 01 which has pulled my 5er over 47 states, and visited destinations from Key West to the artic circle. And not one time did it fail to answer the bell, not even the cps stopped it cold, we drove to the shop somewhere in Michigan. I credit the stuff I learned on here for that great reliability. Anyway, see you guys around and thanks again for all the help. Stanley Z

Congratulations on the new truck, it looks fantastic! I could never adequately quantify the amount that I have learned here, so I share your thoughts on that.

Good looking truck. You don't have to leave, this is not limited to 7.3 owners and you are still a Ford Truck Enthusiasts so stop by and see if you can help someone else out.

Just put the ricksons on man, too bad you couldn't put them on the 08 that is one sharp truck! I hope it lasts you as well as the 7.3L did along with a better ride, how about you bring that rig up to the riffraff east event in the Smokie Mountains of East TN August 7-9th?

The new truck and your 5er sure look good together. I would love to have that combo so don't blame you at all for "Movin' On Up".

Like Barry said you don't have to be a stranger. Visit us once and awhile to let us know how the new truck is doing.

They are still on the truck, I'm trying to decide what to do. I still have a set of OEM wheels and Bridgestone Revos too. I'd like to get as much of my money back as possible on the Ricksons, I don't think they have even 2000 miles on them. My lean right now is to leave them on the truck and sell it as a package, it really tows nice with those tires. But, if you want them shoot me a PM. I'll listen to any ideas. You know what they are and what they sell for, no secrets there.

the difference between towing with a dually and a SRW is almost as much as towing with 16" wheels and then changing to the 19.5's. don't you agree?
