February 2020 Chat Thread

January went by pretty quick. Not much longer and it will start warming up ! I hate winter!
Going to work today and then have to go look at the mom in-laws car after work. Blown tail light bulb and says the horn doesn't work. If I have enough time and daylight left I need to install the new pool pump. Tomorrow I am going to pull the battery out of the tractor and see if I can get the 79 to turn over.

got pretty sick over december/jan
My ford frame is in my backyard, with motor and trans yanked. Trans is to go to a builder in the next month to be rebuilt/built with manual valve body etc etc
Dodge is all 1 color!!!!!!!!!!!!! primer grey that is. tomorrow im hoping to have paint on some parts. most of it is prepped ready to go
home ownership is kicking my *** right now, someone didnt acess my escrow properly, didnt see previous exemptions by previous owner that are expired now. So my escrow was short this year, and next year my mortgage hits my budget payment I had in mine 3 years ago. I was so ****ing mad tuesday. Going to tax office to argue, play dumb, and turn in legal papers for more exemptions to screw everything up more in my favor. My attorney has some ideas we may shoot for too. I just wanna get through this weekend.
Oh, I got a dog too.
wont let me upload pics at the moment

Home ownership is so much fun!!
Had to work this morning then go to mom in-laws and look at her truck. Since we were in town we out to dinner so nothing got done around here that I was planning on doing.
Tomorrow is install the new pool pump, repairing a wiring harness that goes to the seat heaters in the Caddy and try to start cleaning the carpets. Working on the 79 will have to wait till next weekend.

Had to remove a mouse nest out of the engine compartment of the Maserati today during lunch. Put a block of rat killer in there when I got home in case they decided they needed to revisit us again tonight. Saturday was busy but today was even worse, I guess it's a good thing.

Something is wrong with the house heat pump. Wife switched it from heat to cool because she was cooking and now it does not do anything. No heat or cool and it makes a clunk under the house when turned to fan. I think the blower fan died.

We are going to put live edge wood in the kitchen the hang our cast iron. Got to build a light bar to go over the bar.

New fixtures look great!
Found a spigot leaking out in the yard, don't know for how long. Can't find the cut off by the road, city is coming out to find and mark it.
Called an AC guy to fix whatever is wrong, that way it's fixed today and I don't have to mess with it.

Update:
City found the cutoff buried under a bunch of pine needles. If my buddy down the road does not fix the leaking spigot I will knock it out when I get home.
Fan control circuit board died, they bypassed it to get it going. Right now the fan blows all the time since they bypassed it. They are looking to see if we can get a new board. Only cost $85 dollars for the service call and bypass.

Replaced the leaking spigot yesterday. Last thing to do is the pool pump, waiting till the rain is over.
Replaced the front diff mounting bushings in the caddy this morning, it sure wasn't fun. The 2 on the drivers side were shot. No more clunking when shifting into drive!

We got a lot of rain but no bad weather.
Debra divorce was yesterday. On a suggestion from our pastor we got married yesterday, but the ceremony is still going to be on March 14. Married is better than living together no more adultery or fornication, actually glad that part of my life is over. Nothing destroys the honeymoon mood like the tornado sirens going off. The system down here malfunctioned last night.

now back to the house and all the other projects. We are going to do live edge pine in the kitchen then hang our cast iron on the wall. Have the laminate for the bath rooms. We still have to finish process the board for the rest of the house. For now we got some cheap floor paint at Lowes and are just going to paint the subfloor. Going to build vanities for the bath. Already told Debra this is all we can do for now till we get caught up and recovered from her move, and the wedding.

No snow here, wife and little man were a little disappointed. We had to go pick some stuff for the wife and the lady had snow in her yard and she let little man play in the snow. He had a great time.
Went to change the pool pump out and it has stopped leaking from the seal so I left it for now.
