I'll tell you the easiest way to fix your oil pan. Give a guy a call in Northern Georgia and take weekend vacation. From the pictures I have seen, its beautiful there year round, his mama has rental cabins, and he is very comfortable lifting, pulling, painting, and working on 1000# diesel engines. I had to pull my oil pan last summer. The route I took was removing the transmission, turbo, loosing motor mount bolts, and then lifting the engine high enough to remove the oil pan. If I had to do it over, I would lift the cab enough to pull the pan, but selling as is would be a real close second option. I have no means of pulling an engine and it was one of those deals that has to be done right now. Afterwards though I had a slight leak in the very front of the pan at high idle, but a good cleaning with denatured alcohol and a rubber silicone sealant and I'm still leak free.
Extra Note: I used the sealant from the dealership, but did not get enough at the front of the pan. That's why it leaked.
