A very cool sign. Yes we are pretty **** around here.
I pondered the right hand drive/image flip as well. Based on Bob's Aussie photos, it seems a mirror image of the truck. I can only guess they really wanted it to face to the left. Otherwise, why would you go to the trouble of fixing the letters instead of flipping the image the correct way.
Hey, earlier today I watched several videos of just an engine running. I laughed at myself as I was enjoying a video of just tailpipes and the sound. It's a sickness
I wonder how hard it would be to getting used to driving a right hand drive truck.
You'd have to shift with your left hand, assuming the shift pattern would be the same as the US trucks.
There isn't a picture of the floor pedals but I would assume the gas has to be closest to the engine for the linkage, if this is so then I would suspect the all of the pedal are reversed from the US version. Man, I think it would take some time for us Yanks to get used to that.

Apparently the pedal locations are the same, and I would assume the shift pattern wouldn't change.
Several times I have rented cars in Europe to drive. Renault Megane, Vauxhall and Ford Fiesta's. All were standard shift and RHD. Even with my dyslexia and general twitchy nervousness, it was only a few miles before it became second nature to shift. The pedal layout is the same. Remembering where reverse is in the pattern was the only pause moment. It was much easier than I thought it would be.
On a separate note - the original poster must think we are nuts to blather on about that reverse-image picture. But it's what we do in the winter to keep us thinking about trucks while ours are off the road till spring.
So, tell us about the truck you bought? Ford or not, brand new or old, we'd listen to that as well.
Tom
LMAO. Did the rental car thing in Rome a few years back, got the nerve to load things into the back, climbed in, started it up and proceeded to drive out of the rental lot. Then made a quick u turn and went back to the lot, into the rental office, and requested a left hand drive vehicle. Bad enough being on the other side of the road, then to add the controls are on the other side of the damn car....manual shift too.
im sure I made the correct decision after driving around Italy for 4 days.
I forgot about new truck with all the observations everyone made, it took me by surprise, Ford F-350 Lariat crew cab in blue
4x4 with the sport package, 6.2 gas with the new 10 speed transmission (first year 🙏, with a few nice options but nothing over the top, heated seats were a must like the one I’m trading in, identical other than it being a 2016

Were you happy with the 6.2 gas engine? Do you do much towing? How about mpg? What do you expect to be different with the 10 speed trans? As much as I'd love the comfort of a new truck I have a hard time parting with my 460, and for the money I don't know what the new trucks would do better.
6.2 has plenty of towing power for myself, I’ll drag a trailer with bobcat or one of my mustangs with it, 10 speed transmission is standard on them, was a little worried since it’s the first year but i’m not getting any younger either lol,I have a 8’ western plow on the 2016 and will be doing the same with the 2020, knock wood I’ve never had any issues with any of my trucks, heck my 2003 with a 5.4 had 248K on it all original and didn’t leak or burn a drip of oil, just went thru brakes but that’s normal to me

The fun part was when I got to take home right hand drive Cherokees. People really do double takes when you are in traffic.
