My recent purchase my 1967 ford 1 owner pickup it has a a/c and heater combo that was installed when the truck was practically new my question is, is this a dealer installed unit I’m guessing not factory and is it worth anything? And is it worth keeping? The unit is call the “MARK 4 ROAMER” and I have the original receipt from 1967 when it was installed thanks in advance ( sorry interior picture isn’t the best should have a better one soon)
Everything is worth what someone will pay. Northern states, not so much. Southern states possibly more. "Is it worth keeping" some of us don't throw anything out. Back then there were lots of company's competing to provide AC units for older vehicles, Sears Montgomery Wards to name a few. To me I think it's a knee knocker.

I'm going to presume it's probably a dealer installed item only because I've not seen a factory unit like that. But I could/or may be wrong. That being said, the question is do YOU want to keep & use it? If it works correctly you're 1 step ahead, if it doesn't... you probably already have your answer..
New/modern units are available for $1200~1700 bucks not counting install, (heat & cool) and use less room with less weight under the hood/dash. My '71/F250 CS factory installed heat/ac (below picture) has gone by the wayside because of knee knocking, R12, under hood/dash space & weight.
If the system is still sealed, then it might be still useable with minimal work. Those old hoses and drier need replaced then convert to 134a.
Agree on the aftermarket systems today. I installed an underdash in my Mack truck and it works great. It uses the new smaller sanden compressor. They make adapter plates to mount them to the larger York size plate. They can be installed by you, but would need to taken to shop to draw down and charge properly.
