Hey guys
I was wondering what would be the pros or cons of downsizing my wheel size from a stock F-150 18” wheels to a stock raptor 17” wheels?
Thank you
Pro :I f you go with the 17" wheels you can go with a tire that has a slightly higher sidewall height to get the same overall tire height so that your Speedometer is not off, the increase in sidewall height will give you a softer ride.
Con : It will give you a little more sway especially with a load.
Con? Raptor guys will tease you mercilessly for driving a Fraptor (Fake Raptor)…. My Brother-in-law has one. He gets an earful, though as long as you don't get a Fraptor grill, the rims look pretty good on a regular F150.

I just really want a set of the running boards from a Raptor. Finding them for an extended cab seems to be next to impossible though. I can't really say as I'm surprised I would figure the crew cab raptor outsells the super cab 10 to 1. Not many willing to shell out 70k for an extended cab.
I say buy what you want and fix YOUR truck YOUR way.. I can believe anyone is that shallow that they really give a crap what someone else thinks of their truck... LIke you, I would NEVER pay $60- 70K for a truck... Cant be worth that !

I changed my mind about the raptor wheels, I decided to go with these wheels instead, but I was thinking in changing the tire size from 275/65 R18 to 275/70 R18
any opinions?
thanks Here’s my truck What do you guys think? Would they look good in the truck?
Going from a 65 series to a 70 series is about 1.2 inches diameter as noted. That is 3 MPH at 100 MPH... your speedo will be reading 97 mph when your going 100..............Present tires look good... Why change now ? When they wear out, OK.
