So many ST tires are made in China and just don't hold up. LT tires have a better speed rating and generally last much longer.
Also ST rated tires have a max speed rating of 65mph. I had no issues with ST tires until I moved to a state that allowed towing faster than 55-mph.. Towing at
65-70 and I blew two of them in one trip.. LT tires now with steel sidewalls (Michelin Ribs and Bridgstone sell them) no issues.
It could also very simply be the way the air flows over these new trucks. Stick a piece of plywood Sheet or partial in the bed with the tail gate up with about 5-6 inches sticking above the tailgate and see if that cures it.

Goodyear has a new trailer tire that has been out a few years. They are called there Goodyear Endurance. They have a higher weight rating compared to most other trailer tires and are made in America.I have them on two of my trailers so far and they all balanced out near perfect.
I'll add one more vote for balancing the trailer tires. Out of round will make for some up/down action, but most of that won't be felt in the tow vehicle. Unbalanced will also make for up/down, but will also give a lot of forward/backward action as forward/backward isn't dampened much by load weight and isn't dampened at all by being pressed against the ground.
