Information screen

I have a 2017 F350 KR and every time I start it up it automatically goes to the "trailer" screen. Is there a place where you can set a default screen to come up each time, like the trip 1 or trip 2 screen? Driving me nuts trying to figure it out

I’m assuming you recently towed something?? If you disconnect the trailer when the truck is off the truck doesn’t realize it is disconnected and will default to the towing screen. You have to go into the towing options and deselect the trailer. If you disconnect the trailer while the truck is still running it will automatically deselect it for you.

I disconnect mine every time while the truck is running and it never automatically deselects it. I always have to go into the towing options and select no trailer. I don't know why it's like that, my '11 and '14 SDs knew when there was a trailer present and reacted accordingly.

Sorry, that was my only guess! On mine as soon as I disconnect the trailer while it’s running it pops up and says trailer disconnected. If I disconnect it with the truck off I have to go in and manually deselect the trailer. I don’t know why that would be different from truck to truck!?

What are the odds?

Seriously... I had this happen to me this evening. I was playing around with my instrument settings and shut off the truck. When I re-started it, I noticed the towing menu; I too thought what the heck? I dismissed this for a fluke. Yet once again, I re-started my truck to see that menu again. It’s funny as I “Googled” why and this forum with THIS THREAD popped up- too funny!

Joking aside, our ultra modern trucks are the offspring of a computer geek and a mechanic (moreso on the computer side). Something as simple as that can be frustrating as it’s not a “normal” thing to see.

Glad to go have a bunch on brainiacs on the forum to help in these little life crisis issues.
