Help me align my steering wheel please??
I've got a 93 F150, with the 300 I-6..
The steering box sprung a major leak last week..
Got a remanufactured/new one from Autozone..
After installing the new box, and paying attention to the flat spots on the shaft going into the box, the steering wheel wa upside down..
I scratched my head for a few days, and pulled the shaft back out, and found the flat side on the other side of the shaft..
Everything went together well, except that the steering wheel is about 1/8th of a turn off center..
I'm pretty particular about my ride, and want everything to be "just right", and this is really bothering me.
The truck tracks straight and true, no pulls, but the wheel isn't centered.......any suggestions?
Can I pull the steering wheel off, turn it a little and center it, or is it keyed with a large tooth as well?
What is my best route to take to fix this?

I usually do it with the tie rods. Can't draw you a pic but, I center the wheel and lock it in place. Then I get underneith(?) and site down the sides of the front tires making them equal on the back tires. 1/8 off should only take 1 turn. But that's just me and it may be easier to move the st wheel. I can't remember if that has the blind splines on it or not.
