Low Boost, solved
Got a low boost condition, with CE light. My cheap OBD2 and phone app was reporting 1.8bar, well under spec. But not gone.
No noises or anything like that.
Drove it about a week like that before I had a chance to get under it.
Terrible on the hills of WV.
As soon as I got it on a lift, it was obvious. Intercooler hose on the port side had clearly backed off by a half-inch. Clamp was still tight enough I couldn't move the hose with my hand, but apparently loose enough it was backing off.
Loosened the clamp, seated it correctly, tightened as much as I felt safe on ABS plastic. Hooked up a better OBD2 tool, took it for a drive. Requested vs delivered were never off by more than 0.4lbs. It held 18.7lbs from 20mph to 80mph.
Fixed.
I had it in the shop for trans work 4 months ago. I'm guessing they had that hose off getting the trans out, and just didn't quite tighten it enough, and it's been working it's way off ever since.
