I’ll be installing a new heater pipe on my 94 351. Is there a heat resistant Teflon tape to be used on the threads for the heater pipe where it goes into the manifold or where the temp sensor threads on. I notice it comes with some red on the threads is that sufficient for install?
You mean there’s thread sealant already on the replacement or the old one had red sealant on it? If there’s sealant already on the replacement, that will work fine.
If not, regular thread tape or sealant available at any parts or hardware store will work fine. The main thing is making sure to keep the first couple threads clean so nothing can contaminate and/or plug parts of the cooling system.
