bumper shellz

Anyone got them, they are about to ship for our models (17+) and was wondering how they are. Thinking about it to cover the chrome bumpers. Not sure if I want to do this and paint match, or just get some duplicolor premium truck bed coating and spray them....

I just read all their info, they had gloss white, which my 2019 F-450 is, so it tempted me. I added the front, with fog light cutouts, then the rear, with sensor cutouts to a cart and it came to $414 and change! Hmmmm... 3M is pretty good tape - will it keep these things on at 70 - 75 mph? Especially, the rear bumper - the wind will constantly be trying to get behind the caps and pushing air between the caps and the actual bumper, at speed! The front, not so much! a bit scary at that price! (a new Chrome Bumper from Ford is only $536.00 - couldn't find a black one to paint)

Not sure it would be any different than the tape on window deflectors, have had them on various vehicles, and have never had a problem. I think with proper prep, that would not be a problem. I was more worried about the durability of getting hit with rocks/bugs and the paint on them.. Guess as long as they are the same as non metal bumper material, they would hold up

Yeah, I've run the AutoVentshade deflectors on all my cars and trucks for years and have never had a problem as well!!! I would hope the caps are made of some sort of High-impact ABS plastic, kind of like the stuff the lower air dams are made of below the front bumpers - they take a beating! Even the plastic bumpers on today's cars - of course, they are thicker, but these will have our bumpers backing them up. ??? I didn't notice, did they have any "Testimonial" or "Customer Feedback" section on the site to read about the customer's experience with the product?

no customer feedback section, just some videos. watched the f150 rear video and they are similar to our 250 bumpers, looks like they clip up under the plastic and stick to bottom of the bumper... here are some reviews from realtruck, not our truck, but on a ram. should be the same though
