I do not have one of those kits you want, but the nice feature is,........its adjustable. However, if you will settle for a fixed rpm (1400), take a look at this unit. Plug and play and no need to tap into an upfitter switch. https://www.12volt.solutions/product..._ford~md_f-350
Just a question about guys with the BD high idle kit. Once this is installed all you need to do it set the parking brake and set your idle speed ?......
Yep, it's that simple. Touch the brake pedal and it kicks off.
Works great with remote start.
I like because 1) plug and play 2) Clean install 3) don’t have to remember to flick the upfitter the night before
If it wasn’t for cold start, warming up I would probably just spend the $5-$10 and wire up the resistor mod

I like the BD kit but don't see the option to order the mount I saw in the Youtube video. The 12v solution may be the easiest if 1400 rpm is optimal for this sort of thing. I have no experience with this but don't see why I would need anything over that rpm level.
Does this kit (1036612) disable the upfitter switches? I read an application note on a vendors page that said: "Installation requires disconnecting the factory upfitter switches."
So does this mean my existing auxiliary lighting connected to my upfitter switches will no longer work if I install this kit?

Unless something has changed with this kit since I installed mine earlier this year, no.
I have factory upfitters with lights and compressors connected and the high idle kit has had no impact on their operation.
I would be interested in the source of the application note you have referenced as I don't see how the kit could possibly inactivate the upfitters.
Could just do the potentiometer install and have adjustable rpm with no need for the e-brake to be engaged. There’s a few YouTube videos of that install.
I did the basic resistor high idle that brought it up to just over 1200rpm. Works great with the up fitter switch and e-brake engaged.

OK good. Thanks.
I didn't think the kit would inactivate the upfitter switches, but...
The 12volt.Solutions looks like it is as easy as it gets. But $90?
Can you do the same thing by tying (GN/OG to YE/GN) and put a 20k ohm resistor between (GN and BU/WH)?
I'm not sure so just asking? It would be a lot cheaper and pretty easy?
