I have a question to other 2019 King Ranch owners. On my 2019 King Ranch the lights on the console by the gear shift that indicate what gear the shifter is in do not light up. Upon taking to my dealer and after taking the console apart there are no lights nor wiring harness. I have checked out XLT's, Lariats and Platinum F150 all of which have the PRNDL lighted on the console and also have it in the dash. My dealer is confused and is telling me to look at the PRNDL indicator in the dash. My 2015 King Ranch also had both and the console ones were lighted. Need some info thanks.
No 2019’s are lit on the console. Only the dash reflects the gear selection. You’ve not seen them lit on a 2018 or 2019. I can’t remember for sure, but I’m almost positive my 2016 King Ranch was not lit either.
Was it even on the 2015+ at any time? I don’t even see the parts in the listing.
Yes. My 2017 has the lighted PRNDM on the center console.
I didn't even realize it was lit until about a month ago....who even looks at it? You should feel what gear you shift to.
Though it is lit, it doesn't have the old school amber/red slider to show what gear it is in....you have to use your dash to see that.
My 2018 Lariat does not light up, because I looked. I don't remember if my 2015 Lariat did or not. Let's see you squeeze the lock on the handle, pull back first click is reverse, second click neutral, third click third is drive. fourth is manual. going the other way reverse the sequence. I never even noticed if the dash selector lights up I do like to keep the gear indicator on the tack, it has all 10 gears in Drive and only the gear you are in (going forward) or the gear you manually select, in M.
I drove cars in my youth that the little orange needle had fallen off.

I’m glad someone asked this question! I was wondering the same thing. Our 16 Lariat did light up and now our 19 Lariat doesn’t. One other question is the ambient lights in the cup holder are not illuminated while driving with the headlights on. They light up when the doors open but once the doors are closed they go dark. On our 16 they were on all of the time, plus we could change the colors of the interior ambient lighting. I also noticed that the 19 doesn’t have any ambient lighting that shine down on the front floor mats. Our 16 did. Seems like we lost some options...

The ambient lighting no longer offers color changing. You only get blue.
I don't know why your cup holders are not staying on....maybe they are set to such a dim level....you can't see it?
When the doors open, they go to full bright. I can only recommend playing with the settings.

If I’m not mistaken, they’re adjustable via the SYNC screen in the settings menu.
OK, so far this is what I have learned. I went to my Ford Dealer and had them look up a bulb for the shift console per my serial number and guess what there was one listed. In the picture it looks like a strip light with a short pigtail. It was only $15 so I ordered it to see what it looks like. I still cannot believe that a 2019 XLT and a 2019 Platinum have it and a King Ranch doesn't.
