I tried adjusting the dash brightness up and that didn’t change anything, I will have to try looking in the SYNC menus tonight. My wife has the truck today. Are you talking about in the settings in the center stack and not the screen in front of the steering wheel?

Got it. Thank you! For anyone else that is wondering I went to settings, vehicle, then ambient lighting and there is a slide bar to adjust the brightness of the ambient lights. Mine was set all the way down/nearly off. Still no lights on the gear selection indicator next to the shifter, of well I guess I don’t even look at that anyway. Now the cup holders, door pockets, the light above the glove box and the lights that shine down on the front floor mats are all lit. Too bad we can’t change the color... that was nice in the 16. Our 16 had the special edition package so maybe the ability to adjust color it was in that package?

A bit off topic but personally I can't stand the ambient lighting. Whenever we take the wife's car I turn all that "crap" off.... Ambient, stync screen, etc

I rarely use the factory navigation but it’s nice to have and I learned something new a few days ago.

I had no idea that while using the factory navigation, I can also have the next turn information on the screen behind the steering wheel.

I’m sure this is old news to many owners but it’s nice to stumble upon a feature that I’ve never used or knew that I had.

I looked at this last night. Mine does light up, which I knew, but the gear selected does not change color or get brighter. So even though it lights up it is mostly useless because you still need to be able to tell that the lever is aligned with a gear. Using the display on the dash is still the best option.
