Also keep in mind the hot rod formula of power to weight ratio. If you put your truck on a diet for the same horsepower you will go faster simply because the truck is lighter. Swapping in a crown Vic front end will definitely shed some weight. Also consider that the Windsor family of motors weighs considerably less than that of the FE and you'll go faster as a result of that too.

I would recommend the crown Vic suspension swap for sure, I have driven a couple of customers 66 f100's with this setup after doing a front end alignment on them at my shop and they drive like a dream, well worth the effort in my opinion. As far as the 352 I wouldn't expect 600 hp but 300 or more will not be particularly difficult with a decent intake, carb and good exhaust. Maybe some more free flowing heads and a cam as well. Heck you could do one of those aftermarket EFI setups from Holley or Edelbrock and under the huge drum lid air cleaner those come with nobody but you would even know it was there.
