Question Temp sending unit

I've got '66 CC with 352 motor. I'd like to add an real temp gauge but keep the stock gauge operational. First where is the OEM temp sending unit? And second will I have to add a second one or can the gauge and OEM gauge share the current sensor?

Thanks

Fantastically helpful forum by the way

should be in the intake behind the t-stat housing, and it will need it's own sender.

If you need a second location for your added temperature gauge, you can find a thermostat housing that is threaded for the new sender. Don't try to use a "T" in the intake to support both senders.

I'm also looking for a T-Stat housing with the screw in for the OEM sender.
If you find one, please post it/Link.
Thanks,

Maybe I need to reword it or something.

Also on rockauto. You may need to search other years and see if the configuration suits your upper radiator hose. 352, 390 would be the same.

I looked there also, I just have to weed through the years I guess and that will fit the 352-390 block.
