Ok, here's the deal...My 99 LD F-250 5.4 4X4 has a cold air intake, 75mm throttle body, superchips programmer, and cat back 3" exhaust. I want to do more. The exhaust shop told me that the manifolds on this truck are big enough that they pretty much match the performance of headers. Does anyone believe this? Also, I had put a Granatelli MAF on it, but kept getting a CEL. My programmer told me the it was causing my truck to run lean. Is that just a bad MAF? Last, what do you recommend for an Ignition system? Thanks in advance.

Dont waste your money on headers...not worth it and they leak all the time, your stock manifolds are just fine! Gears are where your real gain is at...thats my opinion anyways. I would take a set of gears over tuners and everything else personally if you want to do more! Id say stick with your stock ignition!

I'll look into the gears. Thank you. I like the tuner just because of what it did for my tranny. The downshift when you punch it is so much quicker with the program installed.

Your tuner plus a 4:10 or 4:56 rear end will really put so pop in your truck.

Agreed completely with XTRFORD...there would be a huge difference!

I have heard that the Granatelli MAF's often do this. I think that they are really made for the Supercharged Lightnings. The stock one is more than enough.
